Reporting Software is a general term for the dynamic, full-featured software that performs data analysis and creates reports in a variety of formats.

In enterprise level reporting software packages, look for Web-based reporting for real-time company wide access, reporting dashboards for views of key performance indicators, scheduled reports and report delivery, custom alerts when key variable fall outside of specified ranges, multiple format exporting to Excel, PDF, CSV, HTML, and interactive print formatting for production of presentable hard-copy.
