label printer

Refers to the machines that physically print out labels, or to the businesses that offer label printing services. Label printers range from simple, stand alone printers meant for personal use, to mid sized desktop models designed for small businesses, to full scale, enterprise level printers that output 3000+ labels per day. One of the most common uses of label printers is to print bar code labels. Bar code printers have built-in features for taking bar code product information and producing labels perfectly customized to the product of interest. Much like standard printers, label printers can be networked, operated remotely, or attached to stand alone computers.
