e-mail marketing

No longer the spam-flooding industry of the past (in part due to congressional legislation!), e-mail marketing now focuses on creation and management of sophisticated email campaigns. Today, individual customer targeting, subscription list management, and open/click-through tracking are standard email marketing tools. Recently, much emphasis has been placed on the ''opt-in'' e-mail list. Users on such lists have chosen (opted-in) to be there, so these leads are seen as particularly valuable.
